To commemorate these achievements and recognize the invaluable contribution of our partners, McLarens Lubricants Ltd hosted its annual Retail Excellence Awards 2024 on the 7th of October at Shangri-La, Colombo. The event was a grand celebration of success, bringing together 500 retail partners from across the country to honors their commitment and performance throughout the year.

Retail partners were recognized in several categories, including Best Retail Partner, Best Distribution Partner, Best Service Station Partner, Best Service Station Network as well as Best McMart Partner.

The awards night was honored by the presence of several distinguished figures from both McLarens Group and the Automotive industry. Leading the company’s representation were Mr. Ravi Edirisinghe, Chief Commercial Officer of McLarens Group, Mr. Chaminda Gunarathne, Joint Managing Director of McLarens Lubricants Ltd, Mr. Chandana Wijesundara, Group Finance Director, and Sajeewa Suraweera, Director of Human Resources for McLarens Group. In attendance from McLarens Lubricants Ltd were Ms. Hannelore Baldsing, Director of Finance, Dilan Senevirathne, Director of McLarens Lubricants Ltd and Mr. Bri Ponnambalam, Director of McLarens Lubricants Ltd.

The strong industry relationships cultivated by McLarens Lubricants Ltd were also evident, with several key industry leaders in attendance, including Mr. Kumar Rajapaksa, President of the Petroleum Shed Owners Association, Mr. Ravith Silva, President of Sri Lanka Automobile Council, Mr. Amal Piyathilake, President of Sri Lanka Automobile Service Providers Association, and Mr. Pawara Dassanayake, President of Sri Lanka Service Station Owners Association. Their presence underscored the pivotal role McLarens Lubricants Ltd plays within the industry, reinforcing its reputation as a leader in the market.

Furthermore, adding on to the enthusiasm of the event, renowned racers Sangeeth Suriyage and Sasindu Prashansana elevated the occasion’s spirits with their participation. Guests were treated to a close-up look at the championship-winning bikes of these two celebrated athletes, creating a memorable experience for attendees, who had the opportunity to admire and take pictures with the bikes as well as the formula car on display, enhancing the event’s lasting impression.

These awards not only acknowledged outstanding achievements but also highlighted the collaborative spirit that drives McLarens Lubricants Ltd forward, as each partner plays an integral role in ensuring that Mobil’s innovative and industry-leading products continue to reach customers with the highest standards of service and reliability.
