McLarens Group Celebrates Employee Achievements at the MD’s Awards 2024

McLarens Group hosted its Managing Directors Awards (MD’s Awards) on the 8th of November 2024, at the Monarch Imperial, bringing together over 400 employees across 40 companies within the Group. The event served as a grand celebration of outstanding achievements and the collective success that defines McLarens Group. Adding a touch of history and sentiment to the occasion, special guests from Scotland, the son and wife of Thomas Hunt, one of the initial business partners of McLarens Group founder J.D. McLaren, graced the event. To ensure all employees could be a part of the momentous evening, the ceremony was live-streamed, allowing staff members who were unable to attend in person to witness the celebration.

A significant highlight of the event was the official launch of McLarens Group’s 75th Anniversary logo, marking a remarkable milestone in the company’s journey. Unveiling of the 75 Years Legacy Journey video further underscored the Group’s rich history, tracing its origins and key achievements over the decades.

The MD’s Awards recognized exceptional contributions across the financial years 2021/22 and 2022/23, with honors presented in Individual, Team, and Company categories. The Individual Awards spotlighted top performers across nine subcategories, each featuring three nominees and one distinguished winner. These included recognition for excellence in sales, operations, service, leadership, engineering, and customer service. The team awards commended collaborative efforts in value generation and cost rationalization, while the company awards honored achievements in performance, innovation, corporate culture, financial success, CSR initiatives, and growth strategies. The most coveted accolade of the night was the Overall Best Company Award, where the organization that demonstrated the most outstanding performance and impact was recognized.

Among the notable winners, McLarens Lubricants Ltd was recognized for Best Service & Dedication in the Automotive and Industrial sectors. Shalinie De Silva from the Industrial team was honored with the prestigious Sales Champion award, reflecting her exceptional contributions to the company’s growth. More than just an awards ceremony, the MD’s Awards 2024 was a powerful testament to McLarens Group’s unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and continuous progress.
